After walking around Duke, we hopped back over to UNC to look over the rest of the campus. Although it was gorgeous and in the 60's, the wind was blowing so hard that it was causing power and stoplights to go out. We stopped in and got a sweatshirt:
(The blue is not as light as it looks in the picture)
We cleared out of the campus before the parking rush for the game got bad, knowing that the light situation would only make it worse. We spent a few hours at the hotel working on stuff and watching a bit of tv. Around 7, we decided to check out the Italian restaurant on the other side of the street. We got over there and realized, "Silly us! It's the South!" It was closed on Sunday. So we went to one of the restaurants in the complex that WASN'T closed: Brixx Wood-Fired Pizza. It was ok. We split a small white pizza with tomatoes and broccoli to start and then had pasta. More importantly, the game was on: UNC v. Clemson. UNC didn't seem like they could get it together; they were behind by double digits for most of the time we were at the restaurant. We went back to the hotel during commercials, and sat down in the lobby with the the two clerks (who were students) and another guest to watch the rest of the game, since they didn't carry that channel in the rooms. The Tar Heels finally pulled it together and won in second overtime 103-93. It was a fun game to watch. Now we're back in the room preparing for the big day ahead of us tomorrow. Next time you hear from me I'll be back on the homefront. Talk to you then!
