Flight out

After a struggle getting to the Band offices thanks to the messed-up schedules of the University busing system, we got in our bus and headed out to the airport. Rather than going in the airport, though, we were driven out onto the tarmac with a police escort. That was AWESOME. Then, they didn't have most of us on the list, including Aisha Mohammed, and so we went through an entire process of getting our licenses double-checked and having our names added. After specialty search treatment on the runway, we boarded the plane and were off by 7:30 PM Eastern Time.

After some wicked turbulence, we landed in Mascoutah, IL, at Mid America Airport to refuel. I didn't even know Mascoutah existed--apparently it's about 26 miles southeast of St. Louis. There you go; now you've learned something for the day.

We took off from there about 9 PM central time, and arrived in Los Angeles around 10:45 PM Pacific time. We were met on the tarmac with buses, and were driven to our hotel. It is very nice, but everything is extremely expensive; for instance, if you wish to have breakfast in the morning, it is going to cost you a minimum of $17 dollars!

That's all for now. Tomorrow is supposed to be a fun-filled day, but I will save the details until I have pictures to accompany them. See ya!

How much would breakfast cost if you had it mid-afternoon?
